     OP - July 02, 2014, 08:59 AM

    Greetings everyone,

I'm from South Africa. I've been Agnostic (I suppose) since my days in Madressah. No one really knows since i'd probably be ostracized. Been lurking the forum for a while now and I guess Ramadaan has wanted me to seek out a sense of community.

Currently trying to figure when's the best time to go have my Snickers bar at work  Roll Eyes

    Can I get a parrot?

Of course you can get a parrot. parrot

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

Thanks for the Parrots guys  grin12

No real story to tell. Always felt that Islam, and by extension all other religions, were mythological in nature but went with the flow. Had my epiphany while taking MDMA at a Trance event (sorry for the terrible cliche Undecided) and just realised from there that I cant pretend to be something i'm not.

Probably not the right section but to my fellow Saffa's, have you guys told anyone and if so what were their reactions? I'm terrified of telling anyone, I really dont wanna lose contact with friends or family.

Welcome fellow Saffa, hope you enjoy your stay.
     Have a customary parrot

My wife knows about my disbelief, the rest of my family and hers suspects, they've questioned her and she just says don't worry he believes.

The number of Saffa's here just grew to 3  dance

My one brother knows, as he also does not believe, but until I'm independent from my family I wouldn't date tell my family. It would just complicate things. And I am from Durban where about are you from?

Dr Z I use to live in pretoria. Use to be in jhb often.
