    Hello,

I am new here to this forum, but I wanted to make this post because it's been now 3 years after I left Islam and I still feel like I've been brainwashed by Islam and that I can't return to my worldview as it was before I became Muslim.  I just want to revert to Atheism again, but it just seems like something psychologically is getting in the way, and I'm pretty sure the reason why I can't become an Atheist again is because of the brainwashing I was exposed to.  I want to see the world again in materialistic terms...

I would really appreciate if someone could at the very least, offer advice to help me...

hello  Radon123  .. Oopps oh my goodness.,  that is dangerous and radioactive gas.. well., welcome to CEMB., Frankly speaking  Atheism  is NOT A GOOD THING for many people specially to those who used to be strong believers.,  Tell me what is that you have in  Atheism  that is not their in Islam?  If you are smart and if you carefully pick & choose stuff from Islamic scriptures   you will be as good as Atheist..

So my question to you is what is it that bothers you in Islam.??

What I don't like about Islam is everything.  I don't want to believe it anymore.  I don't like the idea that the quran is inimitable, that god/allah exists, that two women testimony is equal to one man, that apostates should be killed, etc.  I just think that the religion is irrational and stupid, and I want it gone forever from my mind.  For example, I need proof that the quran has been changed over time and that it is not god's/ allah' s word and that it is not inimitable.

hello radon, welcome to the forum.

don't feel anxious about a need to revert to atheism. Follow your conscience. If it no longer believes in Islam, don't feel bad if you don't feel like you have all the answers. Maybe embrace doubt as a normative state that liberates  Smiley

Welcome Radon. parrot Is there anything specific giving you doubts, or is it just fear? I can give you a list of reasons why islam isn't true.

`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

I just need proof that shows me that the Quran is not inimitable, that allah/god does not exist, that the quran has changed over time, and that there are no supernatural forces "out there"

I believe I'm either part of something
    or not part of something
and to believe I'm not, is nonsensical. . .
I hope you don't find my tone dominating. I just tried to be objective.

    Explain this some more?

I'm not quite sure what you mean, believing you are not part of something is nonsensical.  Do you mean in a religious sense, spiritual sense, what?

Welcome home Radon and unpack all your troubles. Put your feet up and drink some fine tea.

I just want to revert to Atheism again,

Let go of 'want' Radon and let it be. Don't worry, I'll watch over you.

Those looking for undeniable or irrefutable proof - either for or against - religion will probably be disappointed.

I'd say just relax and don't try to avoid anything but just be honest with yourself.

Ultimately you don't 'have' to be anything. If you feel more comfortable being a Muslim then be a Muslim. If you don't then don't.

    It's no problem either way.
