I liked Top Gear, but still it was the right decision. Just because you're a star it doesn't mean you can do whatever you want.

I don't get it. It's a show with old dudes driving around in cars, getting a hard on from the engine sound.

People like cars. People like funny old blokes.

The show is very popular over here in the US. I think part of the appeal is that it is not common to see middle aged, middle class men acting naughty and silly on tv. So a lot of American middle class middle aged men can identify with it.

Some of the episodes were pretty damn funny. The one when they did a tour of the American South and they had to drive around Mississippi with "Nascar sucks", "Gay love rules", "Country Music is rubbish" written on their cars. Some rednecks chased them down and starting throwing rocks at them.

    Fine.

Oh, so you do get it!  Smiley

It's an acquired taste. Here is my favourite part so far, when they convert a Robin Reliant to a Space Shuttle. Job well done!:

P.S. Right decision to sack him. I also still hold a grudge against Top Gear after they reviewed Tesla Roadster.

Oh yes, that was one of the best:
