  • Jakarta governor Ahok found guilty of blasphemy
     OP - May 11, 2017, 11:49 AM

"He apologised for comments he made last year criticising his opponents' use of the Quran in political campaigning suggesting to Muslim constituents that they cannot be governed by a person of another faith."

Wow, so the man was being degraded when other politicians were using their religion to "prove" that he was a lesser human being, incapable of being a leader due to his religion. Yet when he defended himself, that made him a criminal?

You shouldn't be surprised by the double-standards of religion.

    I'm not, just pissed off.

Certain religious folk (and to a lesser degree, certain non-religious folk) seem determined to drag the world back to the Stone Age. All that surprises me is that these "chosen people" are surprised that they have such a poor reputation for the treatment of their minorities.

let me modify bit of GWAD's words
    I'm not, just pissed off.

Certain religious folk   RELIGIOUS ROGUES IN  COLLISION WITH POLITICIANS WHO IS RELIGIONS FOR THEIR LOOT BOOTY  (and to a lesser degree, certain non-religious folk) seem determined to drag the world back to the Stone Age.  AND THEY ARE DOING IT DRAGGING DOWN THE HUMANITY FOR THE PAST 2000 YEARS..   All that surprises me is that these "chosen people" are surprised that they have such a poor reputation for the treatment of their minorities.

    that sounds better to me..

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything
I renounced my faith to become a kafir,
the beloved betrayed me and turned in to  a Muslim
