Nobody has to respect any belief or idea they don't want to respect whether that is Islam or Atheism or Humanism. No ideas/beliefs automatically deserve respect and it's normally the propagators of more absurd ideas/belief that demand respect for it. Respect to ideas/belief should be given if they have some intellectual/moral value. For example people respect giving blood, nobody ridicules the idea of giving blood.

Furthermore some of the same believers that demand you don't disrespect, mock or insult Islam/Mohammed have no problem with the Quran calling non-believers "deaf, dumb & blind (Surah 2 Al-Baqara, verse 18 & 171) and "the worst of all creatures (Surah 98 Al-Bayinnah verse 6)"

well i agree that you must have freedom to question a belief or an idea., but question is .. do we really need to insult the Ideas/Hypothesis/Proposals and those who proposed new ideas?
