Osmanthus, I am really, really happy, and honoured, that my first contribution to this site resulted in the curvacious appearence of a bikini-wrapped Salma Hayek. I think that this is very serendipitous and hopefully, bodes well for my future here, inshallah.

Yes we understand. You support harming the west because you think it will further islam.

It is of course, questionable if harming the west would further islam. What is not questionable though, is that you support harming the west.

I am both atheist and westerner, and I do not want Islam to disappear.
What I want is to avoid being excessively affected by Islam or any other religion.

kope displays the crippling mentality that many Muslims these days display -- that the world is divided into two --- Muslims and non Muslims --- and that Islam has a place as a usurping standard to all paradigms or religions that it is contact with. With such a mindset, anything other than awestruck capitulation to the interpretation and demands of their version of Islam, a very strict, harsh, imperial kind of dogma, is no less than an attempt to 'wipe out' Islam.

The thing is no-one was aware of this divide, until there own paranoia brought it to the worlds attention. As long as they think it exists, the problem will not go away, and only get worse.

When I get some time, I want to start a thread on this, concentrating on how this attitude plays out in the UK. That the problem is out there and understood is a positive thing for me.
