  • What are your long term plans
     OP - October 07, 2014, 02:26 PM

My relatives keep getting married and it's got me wondering what my long term plans are regarding my sexuality and it's relationship with my family.

I'm assuming most of us here are well closeted and cannot come out to their families. I'm gay Bi (i.e. very gay, but have off days) and I cannot get married to another man because of disgrace and what have you from my family's side. In fact, my whole country is homophobic, second most homophobic country and first most religious country (I seem to remember). I'm really stumped on what to do to be quite honest.

What are your plans and worries on this?

Hugs to you on that situation!  far away hug

Which country is that that you are in, and is there any way you can get to a better country for you?

    Thinking of you!

Nigeria, but I've been in the UK for a couple of years. Did you already have a plan?

I am not an ex-Muslim so don't need to have 'a plan'.

I would however not marry due to coercion, you cannot live as a person you are not without sacrificing a huge amount.

Will leave this however to others more qualified in a more similar situation to offer advice to you.

i feel you dude, me myself is gay (or 80% gay i can say).
my plan is to explore my sexuality to both men and woman. because i dont think im an exclusive gay. then it depends on the result  dance

if i am gay and nothing can change it, i will make plans to coming out. looking for a boyfriend or maybe a husband.
if i am bisexual and can turned on sexually on bed by a woman, maybe i will make a family with her.

but currently i just dont know. the more i think about it the more i got depressed. *sigh*

Indostic, I was wondering what country you were from and how old you are.

Part of me is telling me to come out when I start earning money but another part feels like it would be a slap in the face to my parents and all the things they've done for me
