    Hello all,

    I don't know if anyone has posted about this topic before. I looked and searched the forum and did not find similar topic. Forgive me if there already is one...

    The topic is Famous Atheists...

    Obviously, Abraham Lincoln and Albert Einstein were atheists but these have long gone. I always wanted to know how many living famous and powerful atheists are there from our time...

    Some have said that Bill Gates is!!! Can anyone confirm and add to the list?

    Does anyone know of the Pakistani scientist, Pervez Hoodbhoy? From the stuff that he says, it seems that he is a closet atheist, but living in Pakistan, you don't really admit that!

    I love him, and I do wonder about his beliefs. Some of the stuff he talks about like Pakistan's Islamic 'dead hand of tradition' stifling critical thought in education certainly makes me think he could be one of us...

    George Carlin was the ultimate Atheist. RIP Sir, I miss you for opening my eyes  Cry Bill Hicks too.

    Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens are brilliant atheists...the kind that would make Zakir Naik whimper if he ever had the guts to face them. Hitchens would decimate the sad likes of Anjem "Welfare Fraudster Jihadi"Chowdhry and make him squeal.

    Pat Condell has an amazing presence on youtube.com and I would strongly encourage to see his amazing comic videos about stuff.

    The brilliant scientific likes of Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawking deserve mention. Sagan's Cosmos tv series was amazing and he truly was an intellectual

    Dr Hoodbhoy is a fucking GENIUS !!! I love that guy for being the most straight-forward and factual Pakistani today (unlike the ramblings of Mr Zaid Hamid)

    But he's not at Atheist, but he is definitely a secular Muslim reformist. He talks highly of Muslim contributions to science medicine etc and the way the likes of Al-Razi and Ali Sina debated all concepts of religion and god they had.
    Pakistan Zindabad? ya Pakistan sey Zinda bhaag?

    Long Live Pakistan? Or run with your lives from Pakistan?

    ?Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you'd have good people doing good things and evil people doing bad things, but for good people to do bad things, it takes religion.?
