     OP - May 25, 2009, 03:38 AM

    This is another funny storygrin12

    Quote
Jailed Islamic extremists want women prison officers banned from guarding them during Friday prayers - claiming it's against their human rights. Terrorists at Wakefield jail say having them there while they pray is an "insult to their religion".

The group at the West Yorks jail - led by convicted terrorist Kamel Bourgass who killed a cop during an anti-terrorism raid - told jail governor Jacqui Tilley of their anger.

Female and male prison guards oversee prayers from a glassed office.
Services are held in the prison's gym after the 60-strong group refused to pray in the jail's multi-faith chapel because it was used by "non-believers".

Now they want a mosque built there.

Their single-sex guards demand was refused - but it's feared they could now take their complaint to the European Court and use the Human Rights Act to claim they are being victimised.

A prison source said: "They do not believe female guards should oversee Friday prayers - and they go mad when they are told what to do by a woman. But that's life."

World renowned historian Will Durant"...the Islamic conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history. It is a discouraging tale, for its evident moral is that civilization is a precious good, whose delicate complex order and freedom can at any moment be overthrown..."

I'd station females and remove the males just to pee them off. Guess they need to learn

That was hilarious, particularly that they want a Mosque built there!!!

We keep hearing about how Jack Straw or the French government have mentioned the veil and our doing so puts us in the same boat as them. How so? I want a ban on the burka, neqab and child veiling.

you can either defend women or you must defend Islam. You can’t defend both

Why is it 'an insult to their religion'?

Because they're a bunch of misogynist babies and because al Qaeda's 'guidebook to jihad' that was made public a few years ago instructs all jihadis and wannabes to try and gain sympathy with the Muslim masses and others by making a row about 'human rights violations' and religious sensitivities while in prison and on trial.

Sometimes I actually think of these Muslims that are really fussy like this as actually being stern Libertarians. It's the only way I can make sense out of why they say things like this. You see, by having women guards in your prison, you are violating their liberty. Under J. S. Mill's Harm Principle, the only justified cause for harming others is to prevent harm itself. Now, Muslims will go some way (and I have been in this debate before with a couple of people on the Islamic forum I used to go on) in arguing that things like this, having women guards, is actually harming them. J. S. Mill did say that mere offence does not count. But it is difficult to define "offence". After all, hitting somebody over the head and causing them brain damage is a permissable thing to do in a Libertarian viewpoint as long as the person taking the hits actually wants you to do it. However, if that person takes offence to you hitting him/her over the head, then you shouldn't do it. How would you make sense out of this?

The unlived life is not worth examining.
