Yeah I don't think it is easy for anyone (especially from an Arab country) to emigrate elsewhere. You would need to show proof that validates your reason for asylum.

You might have a slightly better chance if you could maybe go abroad to work or study and then manage to stick around long enough (not illegally!) until you get some sort of permanent visa or citizenship.

If that's not an option, then I guess you'll just have to grit your teeth and stay in Egypt. I understand it's not ideal, but like the others say, you don't have to proclaim you're an atheist. Just go through the motions and do the minimum required to not arouse suspicion by others and you should be ok.

Western countries have restricted their asylum laws. Egypt is a relatively stable country with no serious armed conflicts or natural disasters. More importantly the regime is considered a "friend of the West". They will tell you that there is no significant risk on your life if you keep your atheism private.
About half a million Iraqis were granted refugee status in the Wets during the 90s mainly in the UK, Germany, Holland, and Sweden. It was done for political reasons as well as humanitarian ones. Now even though there is a major war and Iraq is very dangerous, it's more difficult to get refugee status.

The best option for you is to get a student or work visa and go there work hard and then try to get permanent residence.

    All the best.
