Well, what do you guys think? Do you think it means that they are progressing? Do the women look ugly? Beautiful? Average?
that just pisses me off
clothes are a base and frame for the art that is already there
that freakin scarf hides the art
it's the equivalent of a 4x6 foot frame
with a 2 inch opening to show the mono lisa
what's the fucking point
"ahhh yes, that frame looks beautiful on the mona lisa"

If porn of it doesn't exist, it will be made.
I agree. There are porno videos depicting nuns, police women, teachers. Actually, there are porno videos depicting women in hijab performing oral sex - made in Arab countries. I also have seen university student lesbian kissing videos from Pakistan.

Its called having your cake and eating it. They want to be desirable, stylish and fashionable and individual, like every other soul on earth. At the same time they want to be a righteous slave of Mohammad and Allah, and poke the kuffar in the eye with their self-abnegating clothes to prevent them being seen as sexual objects of men blah blah blah
The central contradictions of Islam embodied right there.
Yes, every religions have loopholes that people go through to make it compatible with modernity and their own life. But Islam places these demands on the bodies of women, and makes it much more obvious and apparent, by being so blatantly cruel, misogynistic and stupid.
Sad! isn't it? I just can't understand how the women can take this. Such a needless, stupid restriction. The stricter your religion gets the more hypocritical you become. This 'love for my GOD' argument is
The World is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good is my religion.

Ugh! I had such a hard time trying to find the right clothes which suited my tastes and style whilst not showing off my curves too much when I wore hijab. I ended up dressing like a frump for awhile. I can honestly say that if you are not pleased with the way you look then you will not feel good about yourself, period. I finally gave up trying to conform to the dictats of Islam as I just felt so miserable about myself.
I felt my personality was being buried alive!
I'm flamboyant by nature so trying to be a 'proper' hijabi just went against my nature.
Any normal human being any where in the world would object to this, unless of course he's brain dead! In fact I would consider this as a serious violation of human rights. But our man in heaven expects total submission and wants his followers to be hypocrites. This reeks of misogyny through and through.
The World is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good is my religion.

I've had some experience with (non-hijabi) muslim women judging other muslim women (behind their backs ofcourse) for not 'correctly' wearing their hijab, which I always found pretty strange.

I think the younger people are looking for identiy. Older people might already have that from their countries.
Yup I agree 100%. At uni we have ISOC it stands for Islamic Society something and they're by far the most popular group at uni. They talk about radicilaisation on campuses and I think they're right the head guy is mates with my b/f and they both use it to promote islamist concepts.

Just like Muslims criticising the pub culture in the West... but then what do some Muslim businessmen go and do? They opened a "halal" pub...

Hi,
yes, Mecca-cola, Mc halal...; are womens accepted and if yes, do they have a special place for them (segregation). As fort the closes, I think that it could work for the Muslims who all ready open minded like Bosnians, turks or others but the Wahabis-Salafis will not accept it as it will be seen as an imitation of the kuffar way of life...

Not in that sense no. But ask him his views on secularism, democracy (not voting just man making laws) nationalism or anything else its "kufr" and best/worst of all he calls 9/11 the "blessed manhattan raids"----that does scare me lol

In all seriousness, I don't think I can ever regard someone with such views as a "good person". He clearly doesn't have problems with murdering innocent civilians. I know people who think terrorism can be justified but none of them would support attacks against civilians let alone refer to them as "blessed". That's just sickening.

If you asked him if its go to murder say Japanese ppl just bcoz they're non-muslims he'd say no. If I thought he could carry out such an attack I'd bin him I think he's just a sympathiser if you gave the choice of an islamic state=rejecting al qaeda he'd take it.

That does not make him very different from the far right wingers I've met, and I've met quite a lot. I could describe most of them in the same way. Indeed many people describe the SS in the same way.
They don't think that you should go and shoot the 'sand niggers' in their own countries either.
