ROFL it's barely noticeable though. I noticed they were really up high.

I much definitely prefer a night in with a good book to a night at the pub which is why I don't go out often as I find it boring as hell unless I'm super high.

Me too! Though I don't think there is anything wrong with this. Decent people who relate to you are hard to find in my opinion, physical people that is (online doesn't count!). Nice to read the State of Oregon helped you out so much, such lovely people over there (from my experience!). Thanks for addressing the syndrome, it is interesting to read about.

Actually, the programme I was put into didn't really help me all that much, IMO.  Montessori school was awesome but the two years of remedial kindergarden I suffered afterwards was enough to scar me for life.  I still want to bomb my old school for that!  Of course, we're talking abobut the early '80s here when not as much was know about the autism spectrum as we know today.

Still, yes, we Oregonians pride ourselves on our openness and friendliness.  Oregon is one of the most progressive states in the Union.  First state to legalize euthanasia and one of the first states to legalize medicinal marijuana... And I'm moving back in just TWO MONTHS!

Vermont's better. But, yeah, Oregon is pretty cool. So why are you finally leaving the UK?

    Bloody sick of this place!

But mainly because now that my divorce is through, I've lost my baby and I have no family here, there's not much to keep me here other than my friends and the higher value of the pound against the dollar.

Mainly though, it's because my dad was diagnosed with MS a few years ago and it scared the shit out of me as my uncle also has MS and I want to spend more time with them while I still can.

I've heard a lot of good things about Vermont.  Will have to visit someday soon.

I once did. I killed a squirrel. Just to watch it die. I hit it over the head with a dry bread-loaf.

Though it just as easily could have been taken in Pennsylvania.

It just felt like it was taken in the South. Don't know why tbh, just the general vibe.

You mean it wasn't the picture of a 10 year old shooting a double-barreled shotgun that gave it away?

I really need help with my prejudice.

A lot of PA has that same vibe. Like a friend of mine says-- "Pennsylvania is a weird state, you got Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and hundreds of square miles of Alabama in-between."

America is a beautiful country  Afro

Q, what part of America hasn't had enough focus in TV and movies?

I have this weird feeling that anytime a European compliments the States an American gets this smug grin on their face.

Not really. Midwesterners seem to be just as gun-worshiping as Southerners.

Yeah I heard that one before. Even the Democratic Governor said it once IIRC. Then McCain brought it up at a rally in Western  PA and tried to use it to his advantage but he fucked it by saying "I couldn't agree with him more..."  Cheesy

Hard to say. It's such a big country, and there are so many movies and TV shows set in the US-- there's basically New York and everywhere else.

Video says he's talkin about what Murtha said. Murtha was a Congressman from Western PA. Governor is Ed Rendell, originally from Philadelphia.

Still, impressive you know about that shit.

Remember when you were a kid and believed everything you were told?
It's funny because I really can think back to an incident from my youth that may have started me down the road of doubt.......

When I was little I became very scared of demons, I watched a scary movie, and after that I was terrified....Like I cant sleep because Linda Blair is going to jump out my closet terrified.
Eventually my Dad got sick of me being a pain in the ass and bothering him every night, so he told me, "Hay, calm down, there are no demons, it was just a movie"
"So dad, I dont have to worry...there are no devils out to get me?"
    "No, now go to bed"
[thinking]"What the crap? Wait, if this demon stuff was BS, what else?"

The foundation of superstition is ignorance, the
superstructure is faith and the dome is a vain hope. Superstition
is the child of ignorance and the mother of misery.
