I'm still struggling to find it after all these years. The last thing I need is for some pink lemonade to come along and snatch it away from me. Stay away from my feminine pinky's. Tongue

I quit smoking after I quit Islam.
Now I'm thinking, I might as well never drink so I'll never have to quit.
What do you guys think? How easy is it to be an alcoholic?

Personally I dont think its about being an alcoholic.

Before, when I coudldnt drink, this used to bring up a few barriers. Couldnt go with work colleagues, so couldnt get to know them. And couldnt go with my cricket team. I still dont always have a drink, coke is fine sometimes, but i found it opened up many more oppprtunities to get to know people

It's like a lot of things, if you have an addictive personality then it's probably best to approach it with caution. However, if you had the willpower to stop smoking then I doubt you'd have issues dealing with alcohol.

Stopping smoking is easy. I do it every day.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I remain.

recently I broke my alcohol cherry Tongue
didn't like the taste. the buzz is nice though.
I tried most fundamental varieties, settled on whiskey and vodka.

apparently it takes a 35 cl bottle of vodka to get me in the zone. some more to keep me there.

Most people cannot even distinguish between most basic types of beer. By this I mean, unless it is something fancy or it's a dark beer or something, people are liars if they say they can tell. (Unless they are the rare person with a very sophisticated palette)

i.e. the following beers are basically the same:

    corona
    bud
    kokanee
    moosehead
    mgd
    molson
    pilsner
    stella
    heinekein
    etc.

    OK let's calm down.

Corona tastes slightly of lemon, a taste further distinguished by using a lime peel. Must be served cold as cold as possible. Also help if you’re watching a Latin-American chick dance in some dark corner somewhere.

Heineken is a fav of mine (along with Corona). I also prefer the glass bottle to the can, there’s a difference trust me. It’s a light beer so obviously the taste will be sourer and lighter (compared to dark beer). But of the cheap light beers Heineken is by far the best tasting. Heineken for sure has that typical light beer taste but it’s not too bitter, not acidy at all (as compared when you drink 5-6 cheap shit beers) and has a nice well-rounded ending.

Stella Artois is a beer I've only had a few times, 1-3 tops. Not a big fan, doesn't really taste distinct. I like the design on the label Grin

Budweiser is probably the wateriest of these beers. It’s for people that don’t like the taste of beer. I have it occasionally when my American Imperialist-drive kicks in.

    I haven't tried the others.

My palette is not very refined. I just drink a lot.

It's funny, every xmas some of my friends back home get together and we have this beer taste-testing thing where we get about 15-20 beers (in little tasting cups of course) and we have rounds and each round we have to write down what beer we just drank.

I think the winner the last time I played got about 3 right Cheesy

(And these aren't just kids -- some ppl are 50+ and been drinking beer all their life!)
