In our family, all our beds and sleeping positions were carefully positioned to avoid 'kicking' Kaaba. My mum would tell us off if we slept in the wrong position. In fact, such is the level of respect for Kaaba, that even sitting with one's feet facing Kaaba is frowned upon. (Although, among arabs it didn't seem to be as much.)
The only i remember my mom telling me was not to leave my shoe facing upwards.. but nothing about the kaaba at all interesting though
