    Anyone going there, please question him about evolution and call him on his BS, especially if he uses the 'evolution is just a theory' line, call him out by pointing out theory of relativity, atomic theory, gravity, etc. If he questions if you're a muslim since you accept evolution, you can say that you believe the adam/eve story to be metaphorical as many other muslims that accept evolution believe. That way you won't be taking on any significant risks either.

    Will anyone do this??

    If I was confident enough to talk about evolution then I would've, but I'm not unfortunately.  I know he'll just come up with some bullshit reply that I wouldn't have the knowledge to refute.

    If I lived closer I would probably have gone. I want to ask him about his qur'anic 'miracles', cos I fell for them. Embarrassed The whole 'the qur'an revealed that the light of the moon is reflected and that the earth is round, and revolves around the sun" long before anyone else knew, apparently. Now I see that not only does the qur'an not describe any of those, but the earth's roundness and the moon's reflective nature and heliocentricism are ideas that predate muhammad by a thousand years. This guy is an ill-educated bufoon.

    I think it would have been better if he had been allowed to speak and have the media target his radical thoughts more closely.

    The only way this will happen is if there will be an outlash from the muslim community and creating a media storm.

    A man with as odious views as his has lost his right to be given a UK visit visa.  All of my relatives in Pakistan have more right to come to the UK than him.

    What if he was to be interviewed by British newspapers?

    I'm just worried people will retort to the "take out of context" argument. I rather him explain his words fully. He would from there on have to be careful of what he says at future conferences.

    But I have to say, I'm glad to see the government is not buying into the old apologia.

    He's mentioned the fact that he doesn't speak to the media.  Deep down he knows he'll get obliterated.  He wants to spout his dawah on his terms. ie on stage like a showman in an event organised and moderated by HIS people.

    I think my question could be along the lines of this

    There have been 7 endogenous retro viruses identified in humans which are also present in the same location of the Chimp Genome.  Considering the Chimp genome has 3 billion places this means the chances of humans + chimps being infected in the same place is 1 in 3 billion to the power of 7.  This is not even taking into account that there is more than one type of virus and that through an average mutation rate we can also show that these infections occurred at the same time. 

    3 billion to the power of 7 is 2184 with 63 zeros after it.  If humans do not share a common ancestor with chimps, why would Allah give us both the same infections in the same genome location at the same time making it look like evolution is so incredibly probable that it must be true?

    How's that?
