and where do you get the the vibe that this has anything to do with religion? It's a personal preference, no more no less.
As for no correlation between poor health and makeup, are you saying there's zero correlation? Are you saying that if a girl looks naturally healthy she would still wear make-up? Ummm, I guess yeah, many girls wear makeup regardless... they somehow connect it to femininity...

You are seriously confused about why women wear make-up. You do realise that women
enjoy playing with their appearance? Regardless of how healthy/unhealthy they may look. And make-up
is a feminine thing, doesn't mean you have to wear it to be feminine, but it is feminine in itself (although this view is starting to change as some men have started wearing it too).
On top of enjoying make-up, some women are just insecure about their appearance (even if they look healthy). Others might have difficulty getting a healthy/nice appearance due to medical conditions.
There are a multitude of reasons why women want to wear make-up.
