    Had a post-demo drink, now enjoying post-drink shisha. Was good to see the kafiroon giving it large to the ragtag gaggle of islamists who showed up, whilst skillfully distancing themselves from the EDL. There was a good vibe through our crowd and everyone handled themselves well. Some really good speakers made themselves heard, I especially enjoyed listening to Gita Saghal.
    Well done to those who made it. See you next time!

    The demo was awesome today.  Great speeches especially from Maryam Namazie and Gita Saghal!

    But, what the hell was up with the UAF lot?

    Why is it, at protests or counter protests of any kind,
    the men who support shariah or any other insanity
    cover their faces?  (not all of them, but still, the ones
    who do, WHY???)  Fear? Shame?   Huh?  If they were so
    proud of their stance, why hide their faces?

    does anyone here know of any ex muslim groups in the USA?  I certainly
    would like to make contact with them.  Especially since now they are
    building a HUGE mosque next to ground zero   finmad  "peace" my ass!

    March, was nice to have some friendly police protection:


    Due to a technical fault the backup speakers for One-Law-For-All had to be used and we were therefore somewhat drawned from the Allahu-Akbar rhetoric. It was nice to see Maryam, she's actually a pretty determined woman, you can see that in her eyes up front, on screen one can only see the softer side of her. When marching, some chap was holding up a flag of an Iranian party and had the word "communism" on it. The message therefore might have been a bit confusing to passers by. I did notice a few people cheers us on though.

    All in all, the counter demo got more attention, but I hope enough passers by saw that there are protests against Sharia and extremism, in a non-violent but firm manner (and of course in solidarity for the struggling people of Iran). Shame we aren't Daily Mail worthy, but there we go.

    Well done HO Pariah and Thinkfree - as I say this is the first demo I missed and feel very disappointed I wasn't there to meet u guys.
