So far out of the teams that played, it looks like Germany's gonna win. France and England better step up their game.

Yeah, but long way to go yet and they will meet stiffer opponents.

Yeah, the team that starts strongest doesn't always last the course. Germany played brilliantly, but Australia were'nt much of an opposition. Remember in 2006 Argentina started off ridiculously well. But no doubt they've put in the best performance so far.

Australia vs Germany was just depressing... :( One goal in at 2am and I woke up with dad screaming "f*ck f*ck f*ck" at the TV...

Oh well, look forward to Netherlands playing tonight. Recording it so I can catch it after work. Smiley

It may be sacrilege to criticise the gaffer during a big competition, but I don't think Fabio Capello is a good manager.

I only saw the last 30 minutes of the 2nd half, and I have to say the Dutch controlled the game. They played with flair, style, and most importantly patience. The Danes could only chase the ball and not get anything in return. That kid Eljero Elia is good winger.

That's because England is not a good team.  grin12

They were average and merely 'functional' for most of the game. Sneijder and Van Der Vaart together didn't work, they want to do the same job, when Elia came on for VDV and gave them some natural width they looked  much better. Still, not overly-impressed. Things should improve when Robben is back.
