How do I prove I can work in the UK?

I'm having trouble finding the documents required to prove I can work in the UK. Mainly because I have no idea what the heck the following list is asking for that I can provide (aside from a British passport).

Can someone take a look at the list and help me please?

List of documents

Does a (provisional) driving license count? Or a p60? I don't have anything by the Home Office or Border and Immigration Agency. I don't have a birth certificate either.

A British passport is sufficient. You are British, you don't need documents.

I don't come here any more due to unfair moderation.

I take it you are a British citizen, so you will need your passport or your full birth certificate, and proof of your national insurance number. So you will need your National Insurance Card or a P45 or P60 form; just something with your name and national insurance number on it.
