Normally they use to broadcast a different theme every weekend e.g. Lady Gaga weekend,Rock Weekend,Pimp My Ride weekend etc. Today happens to be a fortunate day to show Hip-hop weekend and they seem to have many old hiphop music videos that they rarely show until now.

For once cable is worth a damn. I used to like Old School Wednesdays on BET's Rap City, but I haven't seen it in ages cause I haven't had cable in ages.

Oh yeah i remember that show but i watched it early 2000s, that was before the quality of hip-hop started declining. We werent expose to BET until 2000

Really loved that song and video when it first came out. Liked the South African imagery-- the struggle against apartheid was a very inspiring thing in the late 80s when this came out. Still get excited watching those clips.

Music still holds up too.

And for anyone who doesn't know who the first lady pictured in the video is, look up Harriet Tubman-- awesome, awesome woman. One of the great heroes of American history-- in my top five of historical figures I respect and admire.
