    Would you regard yourself as a fairly orthodox/traditional Muslim or liberal Muslim or lax Muslim etc..?

    I am a Muslim, Black American Cartoonist.  I have a Christian wife and a new baby on the way (my first! *gulp!*)

    I found this site while searching for Dr. Robert Crane's Ani-Waya/islam article.  Don't ask me why Yahoo! linked them in the search.  lol

    What discussions did you find interesting? (btw you will have to make a comic thread soon, Vertigo is my favorite imprint  yes and I like dark horse's shit, but i've only read frank millers stuff)

    I would consider myself an orthodox Muslim.  I believe the Qur'an is what it claims to be, and I only recognize hadith that support what the Qur'an says.

    First children are the best  Afro  After the first you get the feeling of deja-vu. I recommend learning about the basics now, because when it comes you wont have any spare time on your hands.

    Did you convert to Islam, or were you born a muslim?  Whats your view on ex-muslims, also have you ever seriously wondered if Islam is man-made?

    I believe that depictions of Allah and/or the prophet's is haram, but everything else is fair game.  Plus I don't like caligraphy that much.  lol

    As far as I know Frank Miller hasn't worked with Vertigo at all.

    DC published Ronin and The Dark Knight Returns. I don't think it was Vertigo though.

    What I meant to say is that I like Dark Horse's stuff but I have (as far as I remember) only read Frank Miller's stuff.

    And of all the imprints out there Vertigo is my favorite.

    My parents converted when I was about 10 years old, and I took the Shahaddah at around 19.

    I was trying to bait you haha

    I was ex-shia so I think only images of Allah are forbidden. And I think its not really recommended to draw Muhammad. But I have seen images of him. That's right deviant shias just don't give a fuck Grin

    I think it is more tradition than a specific command.  I certainly don't remember Allah saying anything about it in the Book.

    So you believe in Hell then? (That was arguably my biggest problem with Islam)

    You have a Christian wife. Some Muslims would say she is Hell-bound.
