Slavery was around for tens of thousands of years before the West perfected their rape-n-pillage version of it.

I'm sure there were many, many ways it happened. I suspect the way it happened most often was through voluntary debt-slavery, followed closely by hereditary slavery.

If the Muslims stole innocents from their homes and sold them into slavery, they were 100% wrong.

In the case of the European slavers, in addition to stealing innocents, they also considered the slaves to be non-humans, forbid them to practice their native culture/religions, took away ALL of their human rights as if they were animals, and even when they were freed, STILL treated them like animals with no rights. And that was the law of the land.

I think your statement clearly explains the major difference between you and the most of the members here. In the case of a conflict between faith and reason, most of the members of this forum would side with reason, whereas you would be on the side of faith.

Islam is a funny religion which is misunderstood by its scholars and correctly understood by ordinary Muslims.
Faith is keeping your eyes shut when looking at the world, and/or keeping your eyes open only for the beauty of the world.
