Hi and thanx. im pleased theres a forum of this nature Wink

Iv been in deep thiking recently and i dont think im for all this religion malarky! only thing is im finding it hard to meet other people in a similar situation as i find it hard to be able to chat to friends etc about this.. too much backlash for my liking i guess.

would love to hear from others in a similar place.. mayb for friendship and chats.

Sure, well i was born into a muslim household froma traditional pakistani background.

was praying regular, islamic attire (now and again), beard, full nine yards i guess you could say!

after alot of 'praying' i still never felt that i was being heard or that there was any help etc coming to me. long story short then things started to occur to me, what if theres nothing out there?! any way now im at the stage where i think i would be better off on my own and doing my own thing.

any way then i was on youtube and i heard  a formed muslim, Maryam Nazmie and it just hit me.. im just pretending and trying to fit in with the rest of my friends etc but truth b told i cant b living a lie any more and just need to be free and to start a new life, fresh and without any drawback etc

so i was online searching for a organisation or forum just like this so at least i can talk to others likemyself without being scared of chatting to the wrong person, in fear of any backlash to be perfectly blunt!

    so... here i am!lol

Yeah, I recommend that you change your name, as you now the stereotype about Christians aiming at converting Muslims to Christianity. I think some visitors to the site will think that's what we do here. Afro

I can understand you wanting to take a look at other religions.

What I find very odd (and to be frank - suspicious) is why you chose the username you did. It shows a conscious decision to project a very strong and confident message to ex-Muslims on an Ex-Muslim forum.  Huh?
