Beautifully written and very interesting! I'm reading it now.

Btw. typo on page 28 (page 36 in the pdf file):
    Cmt|un-announced|unannounced

Bukhari 62:142 - Narrated Anas bin Malik:
The Prophet used to pass by (have sexual relation with) all his wives in one night, and at that time he had nine wives.

There, I read the whole thing through from beginning to end. Serious parts, funny parts, deep parts and interesting parts. I loved it!  Smiley

I found a grammatical error on page 125:
    made me trusted her

Other then that I could not find any errors.

Bukhari 62:142 - Narrated Anas bin Malik:

I'd also love to see it published. I'm not sure if the publicity will do him good though.

I'm not concerned about it personally, Aziz - but as you know I am trying to protect another person from any adverse attention. Hopefully that situation will not last too much longer. Since the process of publication takes about a year - and that's once a publisher accepts it - then tbh I might as well start making efforts now. I suppose I should really look for an agent as that is how it is done.

Good luck finding a publisher. If you can't find one, there's always lulu.com and spreading word about it on the Internet. Maybe even Dawkins would be interested to help you publish your book. Wink

you could always self publish digitally . y'know create a itunes book app or create a book run though a small independent publisher. i know of someone who did that and could point you in her direction.

If you ask me to define anything i will slap you with my pimp hand and make you cry like a biatch.

    You're a star, Aziz  Afro

    btw I noticed you put:

    Copyright © 2008–2010 by Hassan

tbh I don't think that's necessary is it?

And if you get desperate, as a last chance option you could always try a Christian publisher - I am sure they would like to get their hands on something as dynamite as this.  Not the best idea, but something is better than nothing

    Be my guest, Virav Smiley

Seriously guys I'm so flattered that so many ppl enjoy my story - though I hoped it would be of interest to others - I never thought it would be of so much interest. Having said that I have no doubt that you all have just as interesting stories to tell so why not write them  Afro

I should really get around to doing an Arabic translation.

I could translate, but I'm not really much a writer, I don't really know how to write it all down and make it an interesting story, it's even harder to write in English for me, but might will try someday though, beside, If my life were a story, It's just begun, I'm still on chapter 3 maybe  grin12

Great read Hassan. I think its something that may interest a publisher.

Slight correction you spell 'Madina' and 'Medina' see p126 of pdf. The latter is the correct spelling I believe.

I just read your book in one sitting, very enjoyable read, it was a wonderful insight into the life of a muslim, but even more, the life of a human being looking for answers. I particularly enjoy what seem like little 'signs' that have help guide your direction in life, like hearing the call to prayer, and then meeting your ex-christian buddy after so long, it's possible all this was supposed to happen to you, but then it really just shows that we see patterns in things when perhaps we don't realise we're looking for something.

I agree that others should write something as well, perhaps you could slap them all together and call them, "Tales of Apostacy"

And if there is a bit of anger generated, it won't be directed at any one author inparticular.

Certainly a book I would buy, infact I feel I've just been handed a bargain by getting to read this free.

    Thanks

Hey Hassan, please take a look!
I translated your cool, little book

Countless of hours have gone into it
For eight months I worked on it bit by bit

Please, tell me what to do next
Are we gonna publish the text?

I'm thinking about Austria and Germany
England can wait, 'cause you have family

But first, do you have some time to spare?

Thank you, Aziz - I will start looking through it this eve  Afro

You know my first draft of this had an extra chapter that I eventually decided to leave out.

I think I actually posted it on this forum once.

It was called "Khaled" or something like that.

I don't suppose you want the hassle of including that now?

Well I removed it because I didn't want to cause upset for the children of the individual concerned - even though I of course changed the real names.

But time has passed now and they will be adults now and there is nothing there that they won't now know.
