Just about anybody and anything.
For me, I can't forget my first love (he is still alive). I haven't spoken to him face to face for years, but I still remember how he impacted me as if it was just yesterday. We broke up a long time ago because of sad family issues and I was too young, impatient at that time.
I remember how he used to place a silver bracelet on my hand and how he used to cry to me on the phone. I remember how he once wrote a sad letter telling me he wished I could find a guy who could take care of me better than him.
Sometimes while I'm in UK and he's far back in my home country (I'm an international student in UK), I would still wonder to myself if he'd be proud of me seeing how much I had changed.
He's probably changed a lot over the years. I don't know if he has forgiven me or not, sadly.
Sometimes I think even if I get married to another, I will still remember him this way.
:( I hope your pain eases. *hugs*
Some people make great impact on our lives, I can remember two such people both good friends.
One friend I knew since primary school and we went our different ways at the end of high school. We've tried to keep in contact, but it's been difficult due to busy lives. She was my best friend for a while, she was the senible and dependable friend, she was a great listener, we shared good times together. She's a muslim, she knows i'm an apostate, i think she's sad that I am and was shocked to hear of it, but we were still friends, she's a nice girl, good heart.
The other friend I only knew online, he's in the middle east (somewhere, he moved about, kuwait or jordan i think). He was there for me through some difficult times, we met when I posted my doubts of islam on some other forum about 5 or 6 years ago this was. So initially he wanted to help me with religion, but then for 2 years or so we were just friends, he'd listen to me and my troubles and help. I was going through a very low time in my life then and he was the only person I could talk to about things. He doesn't come online anymore, rarely and then we don't always talk.
I cherish the moments with them, and I will remember them as dear friends, who I will be there for if they need because they were there for me.
