    Most of the compliments I get are handsome and cute. Sometimes sexy but rarely hot. I think my height (5'7) is the reason behind this. Funny anecdote: a couple of people told me that I don't look Arab/Iraqi at all which I took as a compliment !!   grin12

    Again, it doesn't always mean that.

    I chose "Other" as I'd say it's about even between handsome and hot or sexy. Hot or sexy I get from girls that I'm either already with or am flirting hard with (or get info second-hand-- a girl generally won't say your hot or sexy to your face unless they are expressing interest, not always true, but true enough). Handsome I get from everyone else. Cute I get occasionally from both groups-- normally when I'm embarrassed about something and/or did/said something stupid, or am talking to my cat.

    I don't think anyone (male/female) would object to being called sexy or hot. I guess it's only natural to want to feel like a sex god/goddess. Always a great self-esteem booster.

    I've been called cute a couple of times irl, all by friends (who are female). I don't really talk to the guys, damn islam has made me uncomfortable.

    What does pretty mean anyway? I've always taken it as 'just above average looking' or 'decent looking'.

    I don't usually get compliments, but pretty is a word that people have used to describe my looks.

    I think cute guys can be hot/sexy, i understand a lot of guys things being cute means she's just being nice to you. I also think funny guys can be cute, sweet and charming.
