Tbh I had a specific Microclimate in mind. Up north in Manitoba there is a place called Pisew Falls, and at the base of this huge waterfall is this tiny rock of land that is green all year round. I find this amazing, because temperatures get down to 50 below zero in the winter, but because of the moisture and warmth of the falls, this one square foot of land manages to stay green despite the area around being snowed over completely.

I see. I thought you were talking about micro-ecosystems, particularly the ones I discover by surprise.

I was painting the front door the other week, so I had to unscrew the door number plates from the wooden frame. They had been stuck their for years. They were grooved, when I unscrewed them I saw a big fat spider sitting inside it. It must have gone inside as a baby and grown fat in there. It had surrounded itself by cobwebs, and whenever an insect crawled inside the number "6" it turned into dinner.

Just another argument against God controlling everything for me.

Read all of this Space Odyssey series of novels as a PDF file on my PC. I find PDFs to be mind numbing but it was totally worth the effort!
