Yep. It is technically impossible to get a perfect grade in a class that has any group projects. Because one's overall score will always be brought down by the weaker, lazier students in the group. Unless of course you are willing to do all the work of the group by yourself. But that would involve having to work about 4 times as hard.
But before you start slagging off the other members of the group, you should talk to the teacher and find out exactly how you will be graded for the project. Perhaps it is really an exercise in "group dynamics" and an assessment of people's teamwork skills rather than which group hands in the best project, in which case slagging off other team members will make it seem like you are unable to work in a team.
Sometimes for these kind of projects you get two grades, one for the actual content of the project, and one for your "analysis" of the team work dynamics.
So yeah, if I were you I would communicate your concerns to the teacher first and find out exactly how you will be marked, and if you are going to talk bad about the other team members, try to do it in an "insightful" rather than derogatory way.
Yea, I kind of figured that we will be assessed on how we worked as a team, which is why I wouldn't feel comfortable going to the teacher anyway. No one likes a snitch

I'm trying to find a way to be assertive enough to say clearly that what has been sent so far is unacceptable.
One girl sent me something an hour ago and not one part of it is peer reviewed even though we have been told over and over that no other journal will be accepted, and even worse it's not from journals at all but from websites. a big fat no no.
So now i'm plucking up the courage to say it's not acceptable. It was clearly thrown together today in less than 30mins. Just 2 statements, both from websites.
I hate being in charge, and somehow I'm chasing everyone down. This is soooooo depressing lol.
Inform your lecturer about your group mates tardiness and your personal situation. You did your bit. They should know.
Only when all other avenues have failed. I'm struggling to fit in as it is, don't want to get a bad name.

Yea I've known a few people like that before. Had one who would just plonk herself down next to me in college and just continually copy from my pages. or keep interrupting me to ask questions. I never studied at college, always at home because of people doing that. It's draining indeed.
I feel ya Berbs. I ended up doing my partner's half of the project alot of the time and telling the teacher that i did the work.
My partner would say "WTF i did work why didn't u include it"
I just replied with " well i need a good grade and the work you gave me is clearly something scrambled together in 10 minutes max.
Can't stand someone taking credit for work that I did.
me neither but if we are getting marked on playing nice as a team, I'm stuck having to let them get away with it. I think anyway. :/
