    Xmas.

    As soon as my kids turn 18, Xmas is over.

    I kid you not.

    I hate traditions of any kind.  I hate being a slave to them, or feeling like I am being forced to follow the herd.

    Xmas was fun when it was new and of choice, now that I am somehow bound to the wheel of it, I fucking hate it.

    Bah humbug and good riddance.  Only 10 more years to go.

    Monotony. 

    The fact that no matter how much I imagine my life being different, I can already imagine how pointless and monotonous it would become, it always does.  The scene might be different but the theme will be the same. So repetitive, so full of nothing.  For me anyway.  There is only so much I could change my life, and that still wouldn't be enough to make it seem worth it.

    I feel ya. In those cases I feel it's almost better just to stay awake until you actually get tired instead of trying to force yourself to go to sleep. The latter never leads to a good night.
