Well, according to islam being a munafiq/hypocrite is worse than being a kafir so maybe I should tell them.
It's still hard though, because they sincerely believe I will be damned forever.

How it happened. Well, to strengthen my beliefs I needed to face the questions I had. Why wasn't I sincere enough? Why didn't I forsake everything for Islam? Was it all habitual? Why don't I believe as much as I should be believing... I have evaded the questions and tried to find makeshift reasonings long enough. In the end, it was clear that I no longer believed in Islam and I was just too scared to admit it to myself. It was tough. Took a solid 2 years in social reclusion.

I found this place through some link in an ex-muslims blog I guess. I don't remember.

buoy. even smart people need 2 years of seculsion to junk islam. its really gotta be the most dangerous meme ever. welcome Smiley

I admire your determination. You just inspired me to finish the first page of the third chapter. Eight more to go  grin12

How about honesty & integrity?  I told my family and certainly glad I did it.How did this happen?  Good to see you here.

Not everyone accepts the case the same way
No. That's part of the guilt instilled in Muslims that takes away their individual expression.

ok  I see your point but let me ask you a question

if you tell everyone you know about your apostate statues except for like a couple of people

how is that taking away a persons individual expression
I understand that Islam strips away individual expression but if you are going to do it and it will hurt someone then there is no reason to do it at all.

It is not going to hurt you not telling them but it is going to hurt them when you tell them

I know, thats why I dont think it was as simplistic as your initial statement made it out to be

Really?  So you believe we should spend the rest of our lives lying to some people because we are afraid of hurting their feelings  Huh?

ignorance may be a bliss. I would happily choose ignorance if I had the power to choose at this point.
But I can choose what my parents can know of my state, and I'd rather have them live in bliss.
