I new about Neda but I purposely didn't watch the film clip of her being shot cos I knew it would be hard to, but I did just then and it bought tears to my eyes. It really is very sad. I hope things change in Iran eventually...

The brutes who tried to break up those protests are a disgusting bunch.

If there is one image that defines those protests, it's the one below. A defenceless business man being beaten on the ground by the "police officers", but little old ladies with just their hands are not afraid of the men.

Watching the video you posted with those "riot police" driving down streets hitting people and making people scream, it just makes me so much happier and appreciative that I don't live somewhere like that. Good video though. Smiley

I remember following the twitter feeds and following the you tube clips showing up during the revolution.  I hope to go to Iran someday just to see the immense spirit the people have.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

^+1, what's really great is the fact that the civilian reporting via cameras/cellphones means the government is still open for scrutiny and that they can't get away with everything. What's going on in Iran right now is ...well...something Smiley
