I read that some researchers think Bonobos are so sharing because they evolved in very resource rich areas whereas chimps evolved in areas which were more barren and therefore competitive.  Humans are like both.  When Mo lived with the Quraysh everything was "you to yours, me to mine" - when he lived in exile they resorted to caravan/town raids, hostage taking, murder, etc.

Yeah, thanks for the moral teachings of a chimp!

Its interesting to note that Allah was always in agreement with the state of mind of the "Prophet" when he was in different situations.

Common sense will have one know that a mere man, will naturally think in a certain way in accordance to the current situation he is in and change his mind along in due course when things change. That is the very nature of mere men.

Therefore God, unlike men, being responsible for the all affairs that take place, having foresight of them even before they happen would not be subject to such fickle-mindedness.

It struck me that allah was only ever in a position to dictate the do's/don'ts of a situation AFTER it had occurred, and not 5 minutes before so that people would know what to do.

This is actually a major blow on both Christians/Muslims and scientists.

The scientists, because it basically takes a dump on the works of scientists i.e science. And Christians/Muslims because when physicists realized the "fine-tuning" of the universe. Christians/Muslims have been saying "Aha! look we have been saying that there is a Designer all along".

I dont understand how the laws can change from one universe to the next  Huh?   For me it'll change my concept of physics should it be true  Huh?

However whether proven or not I fail to see how it debunks theist arguments, other than in fact strengthen them.  If science can be rubbished like this, then the belief that their is a god (or Gods for each universe) fine tuning each universe becomes all the more plausible

No it would debunk what the Christian and Muslim theists have been saying thus far.

Christians are creationists. Whichever Christian doesnt believe in creationism to me is a heretic.

    - Islam says that within the "heavens and the earth" (a scientifically invalid phrase) there are "signs". The Quran devotes much in simply stating how an object on the planet or space (sun, moon etc) are "proofs" of Allah.

When a reasoning such as this is made, one has to not go anything beyond mere observation of any physical object and phenomena and saying this is how God intended it to be and thats all there is to it. There is no thinking of otherwise, to do so would be heresy. As its straying away from the Will of Allah.

    - Therefore the "apparentness" of the universe is an absolute uncontestable fact. In Islam this is the very basis for the validity of Allah. As Allah is the Designer/Fashioner.

    - Muslims assert this further by the belief that without God, the universe will be chaos. And Allah is the measuring stick that brings order/structure into everything.

    - Muslims say that the very purpose of mankind by Allah was to venerate him. So it goes back to our mundane existence, this supposed "apparentness" as being thats all there is to it, there is no other reality as we think of to speak of because thats exactly how Allah intended it.

In short, the Quran says; "look at the world around you, it being the way it is, it is so amazing, it must be the work of someone, so how can you deny your Lord, Allah?"

Not always, depends if other people were around.  If nobody was around, then he would predict the events.

If Allah really wanted to prove himself God, He should have taught the "Prophet" means to win the infidel without drawing the sword.

Even then the "Prophet" was never a swordsman was he? Always the pussy that hid behind stronger and bolder men.

The only person I have seen he is recorded to have hit, was his poor wife Aisha.  The Prophet was well 'ard.

In the film of the prophet's life (salla halla walla) he took part in a fight where the 3 best fighters from both sides stepped forward.  He used one of those double bladed swords and won.  I think it's in the Ibn Ishaq book too.

But then, he also made water come from a rock etc according to those hadiths Smiley

I recently saw an interview with Yusuf Estes where YE told the story about how someone was being challenged to produce a miracle (was it mo or someone earlier?) so he made a rock split open and reveal a (pregnant?) camel.  The guy interviewing him nodded in agreement but you could see the expression on his face said "You believe this shit?" Smiley
