Damnit.

The only good thing about those books, is that an economically depressed region of the state now gets more tourist dollars. From schmucks who desperately want the books to be reality. And come looking to make it real.

I'm jealous. I always wanted to go and always wanted to live in Seattle.
Seattle is nice, to visit. I wouldn't want to live there. Too crowded, and you can't get around in a car very well, traffic sucks.
On a good day I am about 30 minutes away. On a bad day, it's closer to 2 hours and 30 minutes. And there are more bad days than good, by far.
Besides, there are interesting things to see and do all over the state. Not just Seattle.
