    not quite true. i think there are many people in his situation...plus being ex-muslims does give us common ground.
    Its not like he is going to marry the first thing that walks into his lap.
    I wish parents everywhere could remove their veil of religion and see their kids for whom they actually are.

    Haha sorry I didnt mean please my parents as in do stuff for them I just mean put them to ease that I found someone that they can approve of.

    But one thing the claim you made about most muslim marriages failing? umm thats a bold statement and I disagree. And im very modern but I still have respect for my parents and ive already caused them a lot of pain I dont want to continually hurt them im not a selfish prick. And if im able to appease my needs and keep my parents happy I will try that before I give up and be sefish and hurt the two people that care for me the most.

    It is coming out quiet selfish because you are caring way more for your parents that you are suffocating the girl in it. That's a recipe for disaster.

    If you still think your wife needs to get along with your parents. to the level you mentioned, I am sorry to say but your parents have brainwashed you to their own selfishness. And you are coming as mama's boy. Trust me, no girl these days want that.

    As a girl i disagree. I am in the same situation, I want to respect my parents and not hurt them anymore. I don't think he is being unreasonable in wanting that. I don't think it means the girl would be run by her mother in law (mother in law conflict is always there with and without religion). And don't worry Muddy he will be on his wife's side, hes having sex with her Wink(hopefully).

    about 10 couples on there that met each other through the forum whistling2

    Is it just me who thinks Muslims have a thicker base when it comes to hooking up? i mean If two muslims join an Islamic site to discuss and learn about their religion. That's almost half the work for agreeing with each other. and i have the sneaking suspicion 80% of the singles of such a site are looking to find a partner.
