    Greetings!

    I have been going over most of the post/forums and found them to be ridiculous...(the mindset and language of some...my $2's worth) not saying it in a bad way, but an observant way. We all know the punishment for mockery and ridiculing any religion and its Prophet, so why do any of you care about Islam since you left it? Its almost like an abandoned puppy...you loved it once..it did not give you what you need..you abandonded it..then came back and abused it again to feel good about your choice of abanboning it...hmmmmmmmm soooooooooooo,
    I
     am not here to agressivly debate, hate, create fitnah or anything...just want to observe, give an opinion, and take note as to why people leave Islam. Being a revert, I have seen people come and go in this religion, I believe i was chosen to be in Islam(long story) and pray to remain so until I die, Allahu Alim. So while I am here, I just want to observe the many choices of change.

    We still care about Islam because many people here are still closeted ex-Muslims, so obviously Islam still has an impact on our day-to-day life. And what is the punishment for criticising Islam? And don't tell me what's the punishment in Islam, because I don't believe in your religion, or any religion for that matter.

    And you still did not learn that washing the mouth out during wudu and ghusl(if  u were muslim) takes care of the foul language? Definately a low cheap and laughable blow ...even for an X anything. Thanx.

    well, you seem to have this idea that we are depraved and ridiculous people that need to be "observed" for our behaviour so that you can fortify your own assumptions and opinions about life. You said, in your very first post, that you will refuse to engage us on equal ground preferring instead to keep us at arm's length and merely watching us with disgust. This is exactly how man treats animals in a zoo and I ask you to reconsider your place here.
    Perhaps you only joined here to see how ridiculous we really are but now that you are here, can we ask that you give us a fair chance? Can you step outside Islam and discuss it with us in an objective and unbiased way? I will respect you and give your opinions a fair hearing but you have to take a step towards me too - you can't stay on the other side of this fake wall.  Smiley

    I believe z10 brings up a salient point, and that it is better to address the biases in NOSHADYLADY's viewpoint before attempting a dialog in which both sides will simply puff their chests and strut around. Those assumptions need to be brought up first before any meaningful dialog can occur. 
    So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

    I chose to not engage in aggressive debate. I have always observed people in any forum before I ad my opinions. Of course you did not know this because you were too busy tearing me down. Your words are not my words. I could have came in like a maniac and said disgusting things , ranted and raved, but I did not. I am trying to observe, learn and understand another persons choice and point of view.

    I have engaged in may conversations and workshops where people have left one religion or another. I always observe. Otherwise I would be like a donkey carrying aroung book knowing that I cannot read....get my drift?

    I am not a judger, just an observer. I have my own opinions, and since people do not believe in Islam anymore, whats the point in bring Qur'an and hadith when it will not be accepted? Just because the mud is dirty does not mean that I do not get in and wallow with the best of them...

    Well this may not have gotten of to the best of starts, but welcome aboard.

    What makes you think that we would not accept Qur'an or Hadith? If you can genuinely show spiritual and divine truth in any of these documents many here would be more than ready to accept.

    So you converted, oh sorry 'reverted' to Islam. What from initially and what was the catalyst, if I might ask?
    Knowing Islam is the only true religion we do not allow propagation of any other religion. How can we allow building of churches and temples when their religion is wrong? Thus we will not allow such wrong things in our countries. - Zakir Naik

    a.ghazali:Thanks for the kindness!! I was a christian. Went through two rough emotional years  :'(before finding Islam, Mashallah. (long story)
    I am glad that Qur'an and Hadith will be accepted, another person did not wish to even consider the idea!! I mistakenly presumed that all would not..I am sorry!!

    So you were going thru a rough time, needed some sort of support and you found it in Islam. Interesting.

    So was there some Muslim to help you thru emotionally, did the Qur'an's revelations guide you out of the roughness or did Allah reveal himself to you as the one true God?
