Based on a rant I made on this forum, I constructed a video proving how Islam is not as large as muslims claim (based on the arguments that they pose to assume why we're not muslims ourselves)

I also find it funny when Muslims say that there are 1 and a half billion Muslims in the world, as some sort of a proof that Islam is the true faith. But you know that depending on what group they belong to, they probably consider a large number of that 1 and a half billion to be kafirs!

My story is quite simple, I've always been an atheist at heart as I've always questioned religion and the god concept, even from an early age
(I essentially dismissed the Old testament at the age of 7 after realizing that the only reason why the O.T is 'true' and the greek religions were 'mythical' was solely determined by the number of people who believed it.)

Being mixed race (father from Bangladesh) and (at the time) all friends and co-workers being muslims, I decided to study Islam with the intent of becoming a part of it, ofcourse as soon as I picked the book up I noticed around 50 significant problems with it, before even opening it.

and once I began to read the book, it went significantly down hill from there as I had spent much of my time educating myself in the Bible series, Science in general and Ancient history, that I was able to debunk and dismiss every claim the book made.

Ofcourse, the seriously poor, incoherent, repetitious and unstructured writing standards of the Quran didn't help.

Since then, I've spent more time than ever to studying Islam and Christianity and formally (and informally) educating myself in all areas of Science, that I am now happily an Anti-theist (to practical standards).

ha ha, well ok the jig is up, i have never physically crawled around the rug of delusion, however
I did come quite close in a mosque once and before I did, the thought came into my head.."I thought god knew everything, what could I possibly say that he's not already fully aware of"(among a few other thoughts on the same lines)

I then later said out loud to my friend "this is moronic", gained quite a few evil eye stares and then left.

Supposedly, the first thing Allah's gonna ask you upon resurrection is, "Did you pray salat?"

I am always more impressed by the number of Chinese on planet earth than the number of Muslims on planet earth.

I think the world will be Chinese.
But South America has the still largely unexploited potential for huge demographic explosion.

South America and Russia have a huge potential for demographic explosion, if you consider they are rich in resources and empty of people.
And China keeps rising and rising.

I think in the long run even cultures that now seem on the rise like Middle Eastern ones will eventually become a global minority.

Hence why I am not worried at all by "Islam" and I do not understand Europeans who are scared of it ^_^

Even by looking at the immigration statistics for my area, Muslims are a minority in a minority.

Thats an interesting graph, surprised I have not come across something like that before...

Looking at it raises a lot of questions, such as why there is such a disparty in population concentrations particuarly why India, England, Italy seem to have high densities comapared to other countries

I agree with your sentiments about the muslim demographic timebomb fallacy though - another thing that they never take into account is the global food crisis as populations continue to expand, and how/whether the poorer muslim nations will even be able to feed these large families, after all we can take it for granted that Allah certainly wont.
