    guess by ... sticking wax in one ear or something ... but i think its abit overrated neuroscience still has alot to research  and conjure up

    through the wormhole : is there a creator ... or something like that they talked about the god helmet ... inwhich using electromagnetic waves directed to an area of the right hemisphere the patient could sense entities around him ..

    dont know wether it supports the above claim or not but i guess its abit to early to take them for granted ...

    Just last night on BBC4 was a program 'Religion vs Science' the spent a bit of time on the God Helmet. They even subjected Richard Dawkins to it to see if he would realise God. But alas he did not. He did not feel the presence of another being as supposedly 80% of participants do.
    Knowing Islam is the only true religion we do not allow propagation of any other religion. How can we allow building of churches and temples when their religion is wrong? Thus we will not allow such wrong things in our countries. - Zakir Naik

    I'm sure that affecting the function of a different part of the brain might make the subject smell flowers, but that doesn't mean they are surrounded by invisible flowers Smiley

    Exactly, god might exist, or god(s) might exist, however Yahweh/Jesus/Allah do not.

    I think many of these program producers are just continuing to be politically correct by saying things like that just to comfort a certain section of their audience.

    Though the program clearly destroys concepts portrayed in the bible. It talks about Einstein's God or Darwin's God, with no details, hence leaving the impression that they accepted God- though of course these weren't personal God's.

    Yeah just finished it too - documentary was quite good.

    **spoiler alert**

    I thought it was interesting to see how far USA has gone in the creation vs evolution debate in schools, reaching the Hight Courts on several occasions, giving huge wins in favour for the evoltuiists in schools yet their for some reason seems to still be a dual schooling system over there?

    Programme goes to show how initially everything was explained by God, from swarms of locusts in old testament, to volcanoes to floods. (lol @ Dawkins who still remains an atheist even after wearing the magnetron God helmet!)
     
    Then science came and after lots of up & downs & court cases, particularly re. evolution, science won.  Then God was resigned mostly to the realms of the gaps of our scientific knowledge.

    All in all science has attempted to explain away God, mostly succeeding apart from in the gaps, but towards the end asks the question "if we eventually answered all of of remaining questions perfectly using science, would we finally be in a position to do away with God".  

    Answer was no, as science would still would not be able to give us purpose & meaning, and thats something science will never be able to offer.

    The thing is, Religion can only claim to give us Purpose and Meaning. But in fact they only make suppositions. Because not only do they vary from religion to religion but also sects to sects within the same religion.

    So science may not have those answers but neither do religions.

    There's a lot here, is what for real?  If you mean the video then I believe it is.  I've heard of people with split brains before where each side is essentially a different person, but I've never known how they split or how they talk to the individual sides.
