Should be viewed by everyone on it's own merits, Muslim and non-Muslim.
And what "merits" does halal slaughter possess again?
If you think religion is silly then it should have no significance on whether you eat meat which has had some silly prayer said over it.
Again you are applying an Islamesque double standard. You are telling non-Muslims that the method of slaughter SHOULD have no significance to them, but you are not telling Muslims the same thing. I say that MUSLIMS should stop fretting about whether or not the meat they eat has had some silly prayer said over it. If they CHOOSE to belong to a cult that disallows them from doing so then that is THEIR choice and THEIR problem. Muslims SHOULD stop holding irrational beliefs that continually bring their "interests" into conflict with those who don't share those beliefs. If that means not being Muslims any more so be it. Don't you agree?
It's a dead animal,
Not when it is bleeding to death with some brainwashed moron chanting over it.
The only rational objection to halal and kosher meat shoud be made on grounds of the method used in slaughter not any personal religious convictions.
See above regarding your application of a double standard regarding who SHOULD do what.
On a side note, who died and made you the spokesperson of all non-Muslims? I certainly didn't elect you.
I have spoken to a number of non-Muslims who are outraged that this is happening. Whether YOU really qualify as a NON-Muslim is debatable.
