    'Islam watch' huh? Sounds like a totally unbiased, level-headed site.

    I don't think that every time a Muslim tells a lie or spins stuff that it's 'taqiyyah'. Apologists of all kinds bull shit, but when people see Muslims doing it, all of a sudden it's part of a mass-conspiracy to delude the kafir.

    It would be interesting to see how many Muslims actually knew about Taqiyyah before reactionary right-wing folk started talking about it -- I suspect not many.  I suspect the only Muslims who knew about Taqiyyah were jihadi Salafis.  In the case of jihad, Taqiyyah/deception would expected, as in any war.

    Funny how the article starts by stating the obvious Shia Islam origin of Taqiyyah during the troubles it faced under the Umayyad and the Abbasid periods, and then forgets all that and says that Taqiyyah is some vital part of Islamic deception and that all Muslims are doing Taqiyyah!

    As far as its 'popularity' goes, most Sunnis strongly reject this doctrine as an 'innovation', and in fact use Taqiyyah as an excuse of accusing Shias of being dishonest, liars, deceivers etc!

    Poor understanding of sectarian differences, and even poorer generalisation by a bunch of reactionary people scared of their own shadows just because it has the same colour as a niqab!

    All of these "ex"-muslims on this site proclaiming to know nothing about taqqiyah are really muslims who are dead set on not letting the kaffirs know about it. Don't trust them, DH! It's all part of their  elaborate plan to islamicise Europe!

    accually i only heard about taquiyya reading youtube comments so i wikied it ... it simply states that in case someone prosecutes me because i am a muslim i can hide it (my islam) so i wont be beheaded or killed...

    by the same concept DH has.. i guess some christians whom are creationists + (creationists in general) are MAJOR taquiyya doers lol ...

    This forum is overwhelmingly ex-Sunni with just a small handful of Ex-Shias here (myself included).
