    Hehe, muddy.

    Mr. Bison  Cheesy

How old is your nephew? My brother is 6, and it pains me to see him already getting indoctrinated with so much Islamic bullshit. I used to ask him some questions in an attempt to make him think a bit when he told me about some of the things he learned, like about god, prayers, hell and stuff like that, but I had to stop when I found out that he had been telling my parents what I was telling him! Damn him.  mysmilie_977

Looks like you haven't interacted or remotely seen an American. Otherwise you would know that Americans also do what humans do, and for that they have to have properly functioning brains NOT breast implants.

     Cheesy

Well, I'm struggling about this with my brother too. On one hand, I hate to see first hand how small children get indoctrinated into a religion so early. On the other hand, I don't want to get him into any troubles in the case of him having conflicted views during his early Islamic education. What if he rebels so early? You all know that means stricter discipline and more Islamic lessons, and that would make for a shitty childhood for him.  Cry And imo, that's the same with your nephew because he's still under care of his religious parents? Your nephew sounds so smart though.  Cheesy

I bet your children are as smart as their daddy, so I wouldn't worry about them changing teams.  Tongue

Sorry to hear about your family woes, MAB.  When one chooses to embark on their own god-less journey, unfortunately family relations suffer.  As for your problem, I would suggest you just wait and see how things turn out.  Your sister is obviously upset and in haste has banned her child from visiting you, and when she calms down, you can reach out to your spotty-faced nephew again.  Time heals all.  Smiley

Similarly in my family I have had to recently enduring seeing my ingenious nephew be sent to an islamic school.  Oh the horror of it! It really saddens me.  A year ago all he would about was science and now he aspires to be a doctor like Zakir Naik!  finmad  Nevertheless, I will not lose hope, I will see him from time to time and spout my impious words and sow the seeds of doubt.

One cannot be responsible for the decisions and actions of another. Give advice if asked for it, but anything more and you are interfering - even if it's your own child's mature decision to follow Islam.

I knew that if I wanted some personal advice I would need to cut my OP by half. Nobody reads any more. Modern man's great illusion has been to convince himself that of all that has gone before he represents the zenith of human accomplishment, but can't summon the mental powers to read anything more demanding than emoticons. Fascinating.

I'm quoting this in my signature.  Hope you don't mind.

You may find the link in my last post of some interest. Should you wish to recompense me for my intellectual labours, I don't mind. Kindly forward £500 to my Paypal account. I repeat: I have absolutely no problem with this.

I'm a bit skint at the moment I'm afraid.  I'll force my 17 year old cousin to marry you if it will pay the debt.
