Cast your mind back to the central contention, namely can the trousered ape evolve beyond resentment and envy toward others. I maintain that it's impossible.
I continue to find it saddening that you think man cannot appreciate without also resenting. However, as I have said above, you can't prove your point by asking for my anecdotal evidence. I don't think much more can be said about this, clearly you don't seem open to the possibility that any act of admiration can remain one without also being tainted by a bruised ego. I think it is very much a possibility that man can aim for the higher aspirations of the sublime and beautiful no matter how much it is true that most of us, as you say, are stuck in the mud.
