2046. This movie takes a while to get into. It has a slow start and moves slowly, but the analysis of love in all its muddy waters is well worth the wait.

The Good, The Bad, The Weird

A South Korean Western set in the Manchurian desert during the 30's. One of the best films I have seen this year, incredibly choreographed action sequences, laugh out loud moments and an interesting character twist at the end. Well worth watching!

I've recently started hunting down all the films scored by Herbie Hancock. I watched Death Wish last night and bloody hell was it good, or at least much better than I expected. I hardly ever come across films on vigilantes (barring the corny superhero in tights tossery), so I found this one quite unique.

This one looks good too. One thing I like about spanish language films is that, because of the wide diaspora of spanish speakers, they aren't shy about using multiple languages and correct accents. The film makers have spanish accents, the locals have bolivian accents and the poorer locals speak Quechua, the local language of the Incas.

I watched Lagaan: Once upon a time in India yesterday. Nice story, nice soundtrack - some of the songs were really catchy. It had that distinctive Bollywood style, without being obnoxiously over the top. The ending was a little cheesy and predictable but it was a good film nonetheless. 8/10

PS: It's worth seeing just to hear white people speak Hindi with an English accent. Cheesy
