Surprise of surprises[at least to me] this was compiled by,close your eyes, a group called--Arab Atheists!!
Isn't it very ironic that people who have lived and breathed Islam all their lives discover the truth and the source for all the mischief,whereas people who live far away from the action,who have practically no knowledge of the language in which the quran is written,but yet venture to think in a
bizarre tragicomic drama of perverted romance, that they know what real Islam is!
IMO a very important prerequisite for making the much hyped free choices is a headstrong personality with a capacity for rigorous skeptical thinking.Unfortunately,the way it looks to me ,people make a lot of pseudo choices as they are trapped into listening to external voices masquerading as inner voices.
One prime example that leads to people making a lot of free choices of this variety is PEER PRESSURE,which like everything in nature has both its good and bad sides.When it's good it's very very good but when it's bad it goes to the other extreme!Its bad side is one of the creators of the obnoxious 'gang mentality'.
So if we ask a person why he/she drinks,smokes,does drugs,fucks around,feels rebellious,is in unseemly haste to lose virginity etc. we might get an answer even before we have finished the question-" That's cool man ! WTF who are you weirdo?" Let me hasten to add that I am not trying to make value judgments here,but trying to point out how your genuine free choices can be buried and replaced by the choices of your peers.A low self esteem is a very good facilitator here.Preachers of all shades and hues simply love this kind of a situation as the chances of a bumper crop of followers are very bright.Just catch hold of the most influential individual of the group ,the kind that can blurt out pure drivel at a breathtaking pace as if the world is going to end any second[yeah! baby! they got to be zapped!],you have set off a cascade of converts swearing by your religion.They will call it 'cool','true religion',sent from GOD and other boring crap on public fora like youtube[free advertisement] and insult everyone's intelligence!
I wonder if I would have been able to shed my faith based on those facts alone, and if any other Muslim woman (or man) would be able to either.
Why is that? At the very least they should have kick started your personal quest to find the truth,assuming of course that you were not irreversibly brainwashed! Indeed! there just can't be smoke without a fire raging somewhere.I admit there are quite a few mindless Islam haters,in part due to the posturing of the Islamists.But to categorize any criticism as Islamophobia is
deliberate ignorance,more so as they claim to be the one and only!
