So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

I'm currently reading Sex at Dawn: The Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality - by Christopher Ryan and Cacilda Jethá. The authors' site has the introduction and various excerpts available online.

Also reading The Gun Seller, a novel by Hugh Laurie.

I recently finished Homer's Iliad, followed by Virgil's Aeneid, and now am nearly finished Homer's Odyssey. Can NOT get enough of the classics. I've got a fresh copy of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales on my book shelf as soon as I'm done  grin12

It has almost always been my experience that English (and other) converts I've met are rather odd, and in some ways dysfunctional people. (In fact the famous English eccentricity I think has meant that many such odd-balls have been attracted to Islam.)

    You're an odd-ball.
*violently taps Hassan with a toothpick on the shoulder* ...tap, tap-tap, tap... Is that odd enough for you? Huh?

I'm reading a ton of manga and theatre scripts right now... I'm on the sixth volume of Ouran High School Host Club and the last script I read was Cleansed by Sarah Kane. The last actual book I read was Thud! by Terry Pratchett.

This thread would be a whole lot more useful if people provided some summaries/reviews of what they were reading...

LOL touché Spinoza, but that's not what the OP set about. So maybe you should just make a new thread from scratch setting out to do what you just said. Afro

I have to agree with you Prince_S., it is a very good point., Not only reading a book is important but making others interested in it is equally important.  So start a thread with a heading name ..something like "Let me read you guys a book" ...
