  • My first pork
     OP - November 05, 2010, 05:13 PM
    I was invited for a lunch at a Polish restaurant. I quickly checked the menu and ordered City Chicken. But later found out it is fake chicken, city chicken is made to look like chicken but it has chunks of veil or pork. I ate half, and left the rest. But if it is pork, it is not different then any other meat.

    Now that you have ingested pork, you must try it in all its incarnations. Ham, ribs, bacon, sausage... the list goes on!

    I had my first pork as bacon with mashed potatoes topped with sour cream when I was 10 or something years old. It tasted "so good" as well, my tastebuds climaxed. I feel turned on just thinking about it. That's one memory that has never faded.

    I am still way too far to try bacon, ribs, ham, sausage etc..

    It took me over a year of being a full blown apostate to pluck up the courage to eat bacon. I drunk alcohol as a Muslim but eating bacon as a non-Muslim was way more difficult.

    haha i agree. its just got this "dirty" label on it. i remeber the first time i had it i chewed slowly as if something unexpected would happen.  Cheesy

    mcdonalds has brought back the McRib. i shall be hitting the drive through privately soon !!

    the first time I had pork was with 12 when i was away for summer in Albania... I can still remember the taste of the ribs Cheesy(no sauce, just salt).... yummyyy... Bacon with 16-17 in USA.... and then from 19 and onwards everything...

    2. Why is it so difficult for us apostates to break the pork-barrier? What are we afraid of?

    I think it relates to the way that Islamic scholars talk talk about pigs eating their own filth, being generally the dirtiest scroundrels in the animal kingdom. I guess if they said alchohol had shit in it we wouldn't be so quick so drink that.

    End of the day, no meat is 100% "clean" that's why we cook it.

    Its not  just meat.  All vegetables eat shit too, and yet none of them are haram, afaik.

    There are few things in life more enjoyable than gnawing on a plate full of marinated and barbecued ribs in front of a table of vegetarians. Man I love doing that. Adds extra flavour and goodness. bunny
