But it absolutely does not mean you can't have fun. Most STD's can be treated or prevented. Like you must have immunization for Hepatitis A and B. (And tetanus as well, although it is not STD).
Once you are immune to both Hep A and B, most of the STD's are curable by treatment. (I am not sure much about HPV, girls need to be using preventive shots for that as well) Except HIV. HIV once entered in the system, it stays in the system. And when it turns into full blown AIDS, it varies from person to person. But once HIV is diagnosed, you can have perfectly normal life (new normal), in which you need life time medication to suppress the virus from expanding.
Now best defense against all these STD's is always use condom. But again condoms are effective like 97% of the time.
Once you know all this information and follow the rules, there is no reason from refraining from having fun just because of the fear of contracting STD's.
It's not just about STD's it's about my morals as well. And that is I CHOOSE not to engage in it, no matter how much "fun" it is, because my soulmate chooses not to, and I respect her decision, and I will definitely not cheat on her.
