Me. I don't have any particular attachment to it, like thinking I should wait until I'm married to "give it up" or anything. I haven't really found anyone I vibe with enough to do anything.

In reference to some of the previous posts and the other topic on virginity, I rather think virgin/virginity worship, along with the obsession with controlling female sexuality and the belief that having previous partners could somehow erode the quality of future relationships, is antiquated and quite disgusting. Lay who you want, when you want and try keeping your nose out of other people's sex lives.

I'm sort of a virgin.

A technical virgin, if you will.

As you know, everyone defines it differently.

Who are we to say someone who has been a lesbian all their life, for example, are still a virgin even after they've had sex with a woman?

Or someone who's used a dildo for penetration and their invisible "hymen" is long gone (in fact, they may not even have been born with one) ?

That's why virginity does not have just one definition.

However, by the most common one... yes, I am. And that's by choice... I had my chance with one guy, and I was seriously contemplating it and coming very close to doing it, however I am glad I did not because he was the wrong guy for me and I would have just regretted it. Before that, it used to believe it was about my virtue or something

And now, I just haven't found anyone I care about enough or that it feels right and I'm comfortable to do that with.
Believe me though, I am always on the prowl.

Rather be forgotten than remembered for giving in.

Basically, it's the patriarchal world that had part in the common thought that

virginity = (specifically) not having vaginal intercourse.

As if that's the only "real" type of sex. Hetero, peen into vag.

Isn't there a line in Pulp Fiction where the lady goes "So fucking is just intercourse to you?"
