when i was kid, my teacher explained about this many times, also i asked him why did he married with under age line girl, who didnt know much about being "wife". is it some kinda "rape" or something. my teacher cant give me answer about this and then he said its a "god's plan"
and so i asked him, means that in islam, woman has lack of rights, coz woman cant marry with so many men, just like what men allowed..

I have my own theory though......

I think Muhammad is practicing Tantrik Sex. Some people believe the more sex you have its better, because it will lead to enlightment. LOL.

He did say good things about women as well you know. Like:

"A Muslim must not hate his wife; and if he be displeased with one bad quality in her, then let him be pleased with another that is good."

“God enjoins you to treat women well, for they are your mothers, daughters, aunts.”

“Admonish your wives with kindness.”

Any chance of these being mentioned? Thought not.

He probably said those same good things about his camels too. It is loosely translated as 'protect and cherish your goods', the fact remains that they are goods. Muhammad cannot really be blamed for thinking this way considering he lived in a desert backwater in the 6th century AD but the problem is that many Muslims think that he was the ultimate example to mankind and not some carpet trader who found a good way to get what he wanted.

Exactly right ras111. Mo was a product of his time (although as IsLame points out, in many ways even by the standards of his time he was probably degenerate).....and this is a man that Muslims have elevated to the level of insaan-al kamil, the perfect man for eternity, the highest and greatest man who has ever lived, to whom all must aspire to emulate, and to whom all non Muslims must be made to ultimately submit to, and who has a death / murder taboo attached to him, should he ever be criticised or considered in any way other than the most devotional, near idol-worshipping way that Islam demands.

So Mohammad is Islam's achilles heel. Either he was a product of his time, in other words, he was a limited man, in so many ways an immoral man, in which case the whole edifice of Islam's immutable eternal-ism begins to crumble. Or he was all that Muslims say he was, in which case, Islam in the cold light of day (and without the death taboo being observed to protect him), Islam begins to resemble a personal worship cult, and all its flaws become manifest, and Islam is so closely associated with him, that it becomes impossible to defend on the basis of modern universal principles of human dignity, free conscience, and egalitarianism.

No wonder Muslims have such a death taboo on anything but the most abject, pathetic, submissive worship of the man. Anything else would have had this degenerate exposed and ridiculed centuries ago.

Mohammed goes from man of his time to man for all time depending on which revelation a Muslim is apologising for or promoting at the time.

The more I read about Mohammad, the more I came to believe that he has a duality complex. He say something else and he does another. And his followers uses his action to justify their current action too. Take an issue of the death for apostasy. The liberal and the conservative Muslims are debating with each other about this. Each one publish one whole paragraph justifying for and against death. They can never agree and both claim to be right in their own way, and they want the world to accept this man. duh!

It would make for a funny strip.

A man is sitting on a chair, with a noose around his neck, looking bored.

On either side of him are groups of liberals and conservatives Muslims citing their arguments for why this man should or shouldn''t be executed.

It carries on.

He finally removes the noose and begins to walk out telling the court room to call him when they've made up their minds; "I'm going to the pub."

let's say Muhammad never existed, how should should husbands treat their wives?
