They have some similarities yes. Both born out of British Imperialism, both involved a mass exodus of people moving. But the DIFFERENCE is the people moving across the pak-india border were FROM that region. Can the same be said for European jews going to the ME? No!

Anyway, no need to get your knickers in a twist.

You see the thing is, millions of Muslims from parts of India that were not of the regions where Pakistan was created migrated to Pakistan to fill the space made vacant by those non Muslims who had to leave their ancestral lands, as I understand it. They form a major part of the population and are important politically in Karachi. The more you think about it, the historical parallels are more than intruiging.

It is that so many political pundits, religious leaders, religious parties, and dictators, use Palestine as a way to mitigate, rationalize, tu quoque, or stir up political support in their own opportunistic way that many people just get tired of hearing about the oppressed Palestinians. The same goes for the other side of the ledger as well as many Americans and Jewish people are tired of hearing of the pure Jewish state who is getting picked by the world and who is forced ( sarcasm) to do what they do.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

Yup they were and many were kicked out of other arab countries as well. They too have the right to go back to their homeland.
