1.I didn't understand the why god needed to punish people , it wasn't necessary and fucked up the torture mentioned in the Quran scared the shit out of me
This.
Given that a good half of the quran or so is about how doom is upon someone for something, its sticks out pretty good. That and the graphic detail of it...talk about psychological scarring. However, actually stopping and thinking about it for a second just shows how ridiculous / illogical / pointlessly sadistic the whole concept is.
Someone once asked me "Well what about Hitler" (LOL, its always Hitler)?
To which I respond, What about him? He's dead, cant bother anyone anymore. That's good enough. How is it not good enough?
Why would I want to keep him around for eternity!? Wouldnt the universe be a better place if he was just in oblivion, as opposed to existing forever in a torture chamber that dwarfs any evil he could even had dreamed up?
There is no 'justice' in this hell nonsense. Its just sadism. Torture for the sake of torture.
The 'person of hellfire' cant hurt god, cant bother him, cant do anything. What is the point of torturing him? It serves no purpose, other than one of senseless barbaric sadism.
But then they ask "What about justice for the people they hurt? "
For starters, if heaven exists also....and those who were abused, tortured, and killed are there for eternity...in friggen super bliss....than the crime for which the person commited becomes infinitely insignificant. Really, when ya think about it, no worst than killing someone in a game of Halo.
Why on earth would the victim care? They just respawn in a better place. Relative to their infinity of bliss, throwing them in an oven for 2 minutes or stabbing them in the face was nothing. Heck, if I could respawn in heaven right after, I'd let ya stab me in the face right now, just for kicks, F**k it.
So the whole idea of justice for the victim is stupid too. The victim is fine and compensated to the infinite degree.
Hell is not only a barbaric and evil concept, but a stupid one too
